Submission of Returns
According to Rule 36 of the Fund, the Employer is liable to furnish the following returns and accounts relating to the establishment and Fund as required from time to time.
1. Monthly Return (Form-21)
The Monthly Return is to be submitted by the participating units to the office of the Fund by 15th of every month failing which they are liable to pay penal charges. The following points are to be strictly abided by while at the time of preparing the Form 21:
- Point K (Employee) i.e. Total No .of employees must tally with the Contribution Statement, if any member is not contributing during the month, please mention the reason in 'Remarks' column.
- If any member has left service during the month, please mention his/her date of leaving service in 'Remarks' column.
- If there is any arrear contribution (increment), please mention about the same in the respective column of the contribution statement.
- If there is any substantial variation in Salary/Wages (column-4) of contribution statement in between the existing month and the previous month- suitable explanation is to be given in 'Remarks' column.
2. Appendix A
Copy of Appendix A, submitted by the establishment to the office of the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, is to be forwarded to the Fund by 25th of every month.
3. Appendix B
Copy of Appendix B, submitted by the establishment to the office of the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, is to be forwarded to the Fund within 6 months from the end of the financial year.
